Founded in 2013, The Miami Diaper Bank is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and first established diaper bank in Miami.The Miami Diaper bank’s mission is to collect and distribute diapers and other diaper related products to low-income families and their children, while also raising awareness about the need for diaper donations in the South Florida area.
The Little Lighthouse Foundation
Founded in 2010, The Little Lighthouse Foundation (“LLF”) is a registered 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization, that assists underserved children and their families throughout South Florida. LLF has over 20 proprietary programs with 33 partner facilities, including, but not limited to, homeless shelters, hospitals, and youth centers. LLF’s programs include Adopt a Meal at Ronald McDonald House, Activity Hour, Story Hour and Move & Groove at Chapman Partnership, Craft Night and Beauty All Around at Lotus House, and more! LLF also holds annual Specialty Programs which serve hundreds of children and families at a time and bring together hundreds of volunteers. These include LLF’s Back to School, Children’s Halloween Party and Holiday Toy Distribution, among others.
Camillus House
Camillus House serves the hungry, the homeless, and the forgotten of Miami-Dade County. We provide them with material help – food, housing, medical care, and more – to address immediate needs. And, through counseling, job training and other programs, we equip them with the ability to create a better future.
YES Institute
YES Institute began as a personal project in 1995 led by Connie Barden and Martha Fugate. Known then as Project YES, the two met with local South Florida community leaders and educators to understand what could be done to keep gay and lesbian youth from wanting to kill or harm themselves.
Our vision is a community in which all youth develop as healthy individuals free of suicide, violence and discrimination. Our mission is to prevent suicide and ensure the healthy development of all youth through powerful communication and education on gender and orientation.
